To cut a long story short I decided to take on a totally untrained JRT, he is 3 and lived outside all his life "so far", he has quickly got used to the leash although lots of scratching at the collar for the first 24 hours. Poor boy has had a busy first few days what with flea treatment, worming, leash training, house training. (you get the picture)
The first 24 hours I was swimming in wee so far he has hit walls, boots, motorcycle helmet, copper vases, fireplace, veggie rack, magazine holder and a few other places I have not noticed I am sure. Yesterday was his first dry day in the house, due to me taking him out every 20 mins and making a fuss of him when he did his deeds outside.
He has been a bit manic in the house, although he has not chewed anything and has a totally non aggressive attitude to feed bowls and chewy sticks etc, he has been very quiet at night and really clean in his crate. We have just been for a mamoth walk and he has crashed out in his bed, phew !!
Thanks for reading as I am very pleased with myself, he is turning into a real nice little house dog who will keep me company at the field and is just the right size as a lap warmer, although at the moment he prefers his crate in the dining room than the comfort of the fire.

Well done you for taking him on.

I'm sure he'll settle in in no time and you'll have a fun little dog on your hands.

Good luck.

I did post some on another post when I first bought him home, but they were awful as my mobile is out of the ark I have not yet taken any with the camera, will post the crap ones again but be warned they are very grainy.
