Hi,
Does anybody have one of the new equi trek night treka’s?
Know the older trailers don’t get great reviews but just wondered if any opinions on new trailers?
thank you!!

I have and I love it. My old showtrekka was 15yrs old, and I upgraded in Sept. It's so much warmer to sleep in.
Love the wider tack pack door, and rear door. Horses seem just as happy.
Have not used the internal camera yet.

Thanks Britestar, great to hear that you love it!! I think they look really smart.
had been looking at 2nd hand Eventa M’s, liked the lay out with a table to eat at, grill etc but would be looking at something about 5 year old price wise.
Thanks for getting in touch will definitely go and have a look at one once we can get back to some sort of normality, something to look forward to!
take care.x

Sounding a bit dull here I'm sure, but is there much difference between then & the Show Treka? Only able to look on my phone so not easy to compare. I'm looking at possibly getting a new trailer once quarantine is up!!

I’m sure Britestar will know for sure as she’s had both but I think they are pretty similar in size, layout etc, the night treka are non wood structure and have a bigger window at front, think tack locker bit bigger but only one gas ring instead of two that were in show treka!
there’s maybe more differences, but not sure what yet!!

Thank you that's great! From what I could see it looked like minimal differences, but thought I was missing out on seeing something I should have lol. Great if the tack locker is a bit bigger too. I have an Ifor at the moment but may be in the position to get an Equi trek soon.

I have been desperate for this trailer ever since seeing it at Windsor horse show last year - it just looks so well put together, everything so nicely spaced out.
I like to go on camps/horsey holidays, so the giant window at the front looking over the beach or forest would be so perfect!

Sorry I don't really have anything useful to add, other than I really want one and if i hadn't bought a second horse this year I'd already have one - maybe it can be next years big purchase instead!

For what it's worth, I really like the one with blue paintwork...

I looked at them earlier this year as wanted to upgrade from my Ifor 510 to an Equitrek model- I checked out all models and the Night Treka is lovely, main differences are, as others have mentioned already, but also they only come in the one size now - up to 17.2hh, so you no longer have the M and L options that you do in the Space and Show Trekas

I really loved the Night Treka and was very tempted to put in an order, but once I added all the extras I wanted the cost was way way over my initial budget - sadly !
So, I compromised and found a 2 year old Show Treka L at around 50% of the new Night treka price and now i have that and do love it.

Hello,
The NT is very slightly different to the ST. As mentioned, it is wood free structure. In the living area, this has the effect of insulation. It was only the 2nd night in it I noticed my head wasn't cold. In fact, with two of us in there, we had to have the skylight window open - another bonus, as now you don't have to sleep with the side window open.

The tack pack door is much wider, and you can get your saddle in easily. Much more room in there too. Same with the rear door, its now full width and there is more space in front of the breastbar. There is maybe 3 inches less in length for the horses, but my large 16.2hh (6'9" rugs) still fits in easily.

They come with a leisure battery, great for charging your phone when staying away, and you can have lights on without worrying you'll flatten the car battery. The single gas hob is more than enough. I can't think in 15 years with the previous one that I use both, unless trying to dry out!

There is not much weight difference in the 2, but this one tow so much better than the old one.

Mine had the excel pack, and is the 3000kg one. Not worth going for the smaller one.

I too was very tempted by the blue one, but the extra ££ for the paint job I decided not worth it (even though my truck is blue).

If anyone wants closer pics, let me know.

I am normally very rude about Equitreks, but these new wood free trailers do seem to be better made and fnished than the old ones. I had a good look round one at Badminton or Burghley last year, and told the salesman that Equitrek seemed to have finally upped their game.

Still wouldn’t trust their after sales service, though...

Have to say that a slight problem I had with mine was dealt with very well. They even came and collected it from NE Scotland, and delivered back to SW Scotland (arranged) with no charge.

Thanks folks, definitely sound like what I’m needing (do like the metallic paint to!!) don’t know if budget will stretch but can see!!!
1 more question Britestar, when your away over night there’s no fridge is there or option of fridge is there?

Do you know if the living area is slightly bigger to the show treka? I can’t find any dimensions of just the living area. Thanks

I have no personal experience, however, I was talking to a lady the other day who had a brand new one in November. It had been back to Equitrek twice already as they hadn't sealed the window correctly and it had ruined the interior.
