I am moving domino and phoenix to a new field (same yard) it is a 5-10 minute walk from the stables because the field they are in just now,the horses are only aloud out at day and there basically no grass and i hate horses being cooped up in stables so we have been given this field. It is called narnia and i think it is pretty cool and more like a horses natural environment and think they would love it.It hasnt been used in a while and i got told that someones old horse is buried in the field. There is even a big christmas tree in the field.I have took pics of plants and the field could you just let me know if everything is ok? is there enough food? does it look safe? We will probably go in and cut some of the rubble.Found out by someone at the yard that phoenix had cast so want to put them out as soon as possible.

Can't see much wrong with that tbh, mine would love a field like that! Just cut back all the bramble, if there's a lot lying over the ground they can get caught up in it. Check fencing too, run some electric tape and posts around the inside if there's barbed wire. I'm not that knowledgeable on plants and things so hopefully someone else will come along, good luck!

Personally, without knowing what was growing in the field during the summer, I wouldn’t risk it this winter. Difficult to identify some plants when they are dead and even with supplementary hay horses could still eat things they shouldn't. Can't judge from the pictures if there are any boggy areas, what the fencing is like or if there is anything dumped under all the undergrowth. Could be a project for next year.
