New Foalie!!!!

Well after being waxed up for 5 days Dotty finally had her foal at 2.30 Friday morning. We watched her on the cctv til she lay down and her waters broke, so we ran downstairs and out to the stables by which time the legs were out, quickly followed by the rest of her. Foalie was up on her feet within half an hour and feeding within 2. She is really strong and the vet says shes huge. I am so pleased and Dotty is a fab mum, but doesn't like me anymore!!
She is a little filly and I think she will be called Astra. Hopefully will be able to post pics as she has had her first morning out in the field today.

The daddy is Alvescot Paper Moon who is by Pouchka and has Samber on his dams side. She is showing talent already, she has leapt over a foot high log twice this morning!!!, she didn't have to, just thought it was fun!!!
