Hi,

I am currently co writing and illustrating a children's book on new forest ponies, For this reason I would be eternally grateful if any of you have some nice shots of new forest ponies, the forest itself and anything else you think may give me some nice things to work from. I am esp. interested in pictures of new forest foals, the b. road sales and if anyone has got pics of their new forest from foal to full grown i will love you forever.

You can post on here but really would like pics emailed to me at

info@nataliathorpe.com

I don't want to go in to too much detail about the story line of the book, but its going to be a very classic pony story.

THANKS!!!

If we manage to get published and you've been really helpful I'll make sure you get thanked!

I have some!

Thanks everyone! Keep them coming! I'm really just looking for reference shots of ponies from all angles to help me compose my drawings and give my main pony some character. So all shots are welcome, esp. ones of ponies mooching about, playing with each other, having a nap etc.

No, I need older ponies too and ponies doing things, as eventually we'll be following the foal through to a competition career. Just working on the youngstock side of things currently!

I'm walking in the forest this weekend - so will take my camera and see what I come up with if that wold help?!

Maizy, that would be AWESOME! I'll be forever in your gratitude! Any wildlife from around the forest is great, as are plants ect. I'm doing a trip soon myself for more ref photos, but the more the better.

And action shots are welcome.

Ooh, I've got a 13.2 newfie who nearly got to JA level (not with my daughter though) - he has a lovely action over a jump - would you like an action shot of him?

How interesting -do you have any photos? I'm always interested in NF jumping ponies as we have a 138cms JA who has jumped the biggest tracks (won c.5K) and won last weekend at rising 20yo. We have her rising 3yo daughter by Tiny Tim X the JA pony stallion and hope that she will jump like her parents!

I have loads will email them to you - are you going to be drawing pictures or will you be using the photos to illustrate your book?

The bay pony above is similar to mine.

Here is a photo of my pony grazing - he looks almost like a twin of your pony - he is 7. Do you think they could be related?
