Hi all,

since there is no way anyone can do anything at work today I have decided to have a look at ponios family tree... I can find piccys of the stallions but come a cropper when looking for the mares... he is a pure bred New forest... anyone know where I may find picks of Dams and not just sires?

Bx

I am not aware of a mare picture gallery as there is with the stallions but you may have some luck if you contact the NF breed society who might make suggestions or contact the breeders directly.

What's his name in his passport? As a member of the breed society I can get onto studbook on-line so could maybe provide you with some more info. Many commoners won't have pictures of their mares as some of them have a number of mares running out on the forest. Have you gone onto this website: http://nfstallions.info/ It's a great resource for those looking at pedigrees etc. Has he got a green passport?

I completely utterly forgot to reply to this thread!

His Passport name if Howen Moon Walk... and yes I went on the stallion database and he looks alot like like his dad :D just his mum is elluding me lol

We did have a pilgrimage to the NF where there were one or two that looked like him

Oooh, I have had 3 by Rambler, lovely natured ponies. I am just wondering if I know the mare as Rambler was running in the part of the forest that I run my ponies in. If I see his breeder I'll try and remember to ask him which one the mare is.

Just checked, dam is/was in my area as her last foal is by the same as my 2yo filly. Incidently Moonlight Miss is by the same stallion (Knightsway Billy Boy) as my foundation mare.

Are you a member of the New Forest Pony Breeders? If you are then you can access the stud book on-line to view pedigree etc
