Do you have any recomendations for livery yards (Diy/ assisted diy) near Ringwood? My friend is moving there soon and is looking for a yard with all year turnout and an arena.

Any good ones/ones to avoid. Any info appreciated, good or bad!

Thank you

I've heard good things about Newlands Farm but I've never seen it myself so can't vouch for it. Also might be worth seeing if Woodmoor might be prepared to take her on, I rate the YO there, but think it is more training/full livery based. I take it your friend knows about www.nfed.co.uk as an place to look for this sort of thing...

Thanks, i will tell her about nfed.co.uk, not sure if shes seen that site or not. She has seen the newlands farm website but
found the following review on google for newlands farm from 2008. The manager is still the same person now and although only one review some of the comments are very off putting!

unprofessional low standard of livery

the care my horse received was inconsistent. walker not working or turned off. haylage sometimes off but still put in haynets. electric fencing not maintained and has caused injury to horse and rider. fields waters dirty and fields never rested. grazing for liveries is in over-grazed unrested fields, used 24/7 by 3 horses or more during the day, and 1 - 2 at night. stable water dirty and sometimes not working. poorly managed yard with inconsistent rules. yard staff start at 8 finish at 5. horses rugged for night by 4pm, regardless of temperature. I would not recommend this yard. good facilities, terrible management.
