My zip is so tired on my hi viz I think it needs to be retired. Its replacement needs to have zip pockets too. Where to start looking. Is the CDJ stuff worth the money? Thanks.

As one who will ONLY wear hi-viz gear, end of, I'm sick of being ripped off by the "equestrian" label and seeing sub-standard rubbish "Made in China" that is advertised as being waterproof but if you are out in anything more than a gentle piddle you get soaking wet!

I look for "workwear" now. Difficult for me as I'm a small size, but you can get some good stuff if you go around the farm outlets and/or look on-line.

Ooh, now I've just bought a new workwear coat in LADY fit! It was £30 and oh boy was I excited. Haven't worn it in the rain yet but it looks sturdy as any workwear, and it actually FITS rather than looking like I'm wearing a hi-viz sack. Here's the link. They do a lined "winter" one or the lighter weight one (which is what I bought, and it's well thick enough for riding - I guess if you were standing around on site all day then you'd want the extra padding).

I'm a size 10/12 on top, but I have big shoulders. I kept the medium in the end, even though I ideally could've done with an extra inch across the shoulders. The large was just a bit too big all over and I am vain.

Difficult if you're a large size, as well! Wide enough for my boobs means it's too long to ride in. I have a fleece jacket with zip-off sleeves that works well, but my attempts at finding a padded gilet never worked and I eventually had to go equestrian for that.

Most of the time, though, I just wear workwear t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts or hoodies. Downside is a lack of pockets, but I have enough riding tights with a thigh pocket that I get by.
