hopefully getting a new horse this week. he doesn't come with a saddle as the owners are using it on there other horse. i have my t4 cob saddle only about 10 months old, going to have it refitted to new horse as he is similar breed, build, age and height to my old horse. but, saddler can't come out till end of august, don't want to use anyone else as i really trust them 100%, had a bad exp with another saddler. so do i not ride my new horse until they come out or do i try adjust it myself for time being, i have an okay idea on fitting but i'm no saddler, plus don't want to make new horse assosiate me with pain etc, plus if it went wrong and i was bucked off etc that would ruin my confidence! on the other hand don't want to wait 5 weeks to ride my new horse!!! what would you do???

If it was me, I would ride in it until the saddler can come out. I'm no saddler either but I have a good idea if something is half right or not

If I wasn't sure I would use a thick numnah as well to make sure. Unless it's a really bad fit a few weeks shouldn't hurt.
