well, she came last ngt, and took over the leadership role immediatly, which im glad as my foal was starting to get to big 4 her boots, now funny enough shes like a cute baby hiding behind mum. question is how long shall i let her settle in b4 i ride , 1 week or 2,

Congratulations! Not sure about the riding thing, Bodey wasn’t backed when I got him. I think I rode Otto within the week but I can’t remember.

I left mine 3 days, then lunged him for 2 days then rode.

But thats just me, if the horse seems happy then cant see any problem with riding it the following day

I ride the first day. If you take a horse to a show you don't leave them a few days before you ride? Why should moving to any different?
