Have a new horse coming (rescued from being PTS for no good reason!), the 'rescuers' have kindly neatened him up for me but this has involved fully clipping him. Problem is that he's coming from South of England up to NE Scotland so its rather chillier up here! The horse isn't used to being turned out much but Im a firm believer in lots of turnout, so will be working on slowly increasing his time outside. Although I have often clipped mine that have stayed out 24/7, Ive never taken off their legs and full faces before so have no experience of a fully naked ned! Obviously I want to keep him as warm as possible so do I need to bandage him in the stable (he is currently)? And what about when outside, do I need to get turnout chaps or something? I'm hoping by the end of the winter to have him out happily all day and only in at night so he wont be spending too long outside every day (to begin with, it'll literally be 10 mins as that's all he's used to!) but can get decent snow up here. Dont want him coming in like a lollypop ;)

Don't put chaps on his legs - absolutely agree about the udder salve. Fantastic stuff.

And yes, you may well need to bandage him in the stable to keep him warm.

I am up north too, and when mine get fully clipped they are still chucked out everyday, whatever the weather unless it is actually really really bad. i.e proper blizzard conditions. My TB X copes well with just a full neck heavy weight TO, and if its really cold I might stick on a stable rug underneath. With clipped legs, just wash them off when they come in, or wait for them to dry and brush off. Next clip leave the legs. They will grow back pretty quick if you just leave them alone!

I really don't think you need to bother with stable bandages etc, as long as the body is kept warm. I am not a fan of them, and the legs in IMO are better of cooler than warmer. We have pointers that only wear a full neck stable in the middle of winter which are fully clipped, and during the day a normal medium stable rug. It will live! :D :)
