I have just bought my first horse, having ridden her for the first time i dont know what to do! She rears and walks backwards, not sure what makes her do it yet as i only rode her once.
I dont know how to teach her to stop it and im not exactly a great rider, i dont want to give her up but i might have no option.
HELP!

Have you contact the sellers about it?

If you got her from a dealer see what they say...? I presume she was fine when you tried her? Maybe its something to do with moving her to a new home.. All horses react differently...

try not to panic - she's probably just taking time to settle into her new home, get her tack checked and looked over by a vet. spend some time lunging her as well - so she can see the yard without you on her. would it be possible to ride in the school with another nice quiet horse she can take comfort from?

If you're worried about your abilities - a good instructor can do wonders for your confidence and nip any potential problems in the bud!!

again don't worry and good luck!

Hi,
I got her from my Auntie, I let my heart overtake my brain, she reared at her old yard, and i knew deep down she was too much but thought id be ok.
I've now realised she's lame, my auntie says she has had an abcess in the foot before. Theres no heat, no swelling, no signs so i think it is an old injury.
I dont think i can afford to go into vet care when ive only just got her

maybe if i'd had her a while.
