First time trying a picture so forgive me if it all goes wrong.

Here is my new boy. My first ever horse.

Thank you all! He's just going to be a happy hacker nothing special. It's not the best picture i only got it quickly with my phone but he's lovely bless him.

I am going back for a second viewing tomorrow and yours looks like the one I am hoping to get (just different colour) & just like my first boy too. Lovely. I bet he will be cheap to keep looks a big beasty.

How old? What has the horse done so far?

But he looks a real armchair ride...? Well done good luck

Good luck with your second viewing.
I'm hoping he'll be cheap! Grass and a bit of hay in winter should do him. He's only 4 but going on 40. He's 15h just come over from Ireland, done a seasons hunting there. He's lovely. Realisation of what i've taken on has hit me and now i'm terrified but once we are both settled and up and running i'm sure we'll be great. It's just such a big responsibility having a horse. I'm sat here now worrying if he's ok! :o

aww he's beautiful, i look after a black cob with amazing feathers and she has a beautiful main, i truely hope u have as much fun and love from him as i do from her all the best xx:)

CONGRATS he does look rather lovely love the chunky monkey's... aww you'll settle soon though and get into swing of it all you will no doubt find yourself standing at the gate of his field watching him graze away with not a care in the world..... thinking... OMG he's all mine.... ir's very exciting having one for the 1st time.

Best of luck with him though

Congrats! He looks lovely :-) but I don't think you ever stop worrying, at least I don't! Is it too hot, too cold, rugs on, rugs off, too much food, too little food... the list is endless! But it's totally worth it.

I hope you have many happy years together :-) xxx

he looks lovely :) i'm sure you will have many happy times together :D

Thank you :)

Just my type - Good luck. I remember how nerve wracking it is when you have a new horse, I felt sick for weeks!

I felt really sick yesterday. As soon as he was in the field and the old owners left i thought i was going to throw up  it was that 'ok what now' feeling.

Thank you. He walked right over to me when I arrived this morning. That was a good feeling! :) x

Thank you. I was standing at the gate today just watching and thinking i love him so much :) I was a bit scared of him yesterday but today we both seem to have calmed down.

Ah lovely looking boy, all the best and try not to worry too much, after a few weeks the responsibility will start to feel normal and you can just get on with enjoying him :)

He is lovely. I forgot to take the camera again but will take it later and get better pics to put up. Will try not to worry. I'm just constantly wondering if he's ok but i'm sure he is. He made it through the night in one piece anyway!

Thank you. I don't think i will either. It would be better if I could look out of a window and see him but he's 10 minutes away. Will have to calm myself cus he's not bothered  x

congratulations, he looks lovely:D

I remember that sicky 'new owner' feeling lol, it was rather like when i brought my first baby home from the hospital and thought 'omg what do i do with it now':)

That's it! That's exactly how I felt when he arrived. Not too bad today but I feel clueless at the moment. Everything I know about horses and how to care for them seems to have vanished from my brain!

He's a lovely boy - more photos please! :D What's his name? :)

I'll will def get more photo's. His name's Mike. What can I say?! he's Irish

Aww bless you! Mike is gorgeous, and i still feel anxious about my boy all the time, its just because you love them so much you cant bear to think of anything bad happening to them. My mum says she feels the same sort of worry for me and always sleeps with her phone next to her bed because i drive to work at 5am every day and she worries about me and well i've been here for 24yrs!

I am sure you's will get on fine and both settle into eachother very well, and at least you can always come on here for any advice you might need :) Just think of all the good times ahead..x

Aww that's really sweet. I was heartbroken leaving him earlier. I took his headcollar off thinking he'd run off and I had to go but he just stood at the gate watching me leave didn't move at all. I'm sure he isn't but i'm worried he's still standing there :o x

He looks gorgeous! Enjoy him!! :)

Thank you. I tried taking a headshot of him earlier but he decided I wasn't quite close enough and walked right up to me so all I ended up with is a picture of the bit between his eyes.
