New horse piccies

We finaly have our new horse, the owner didnt pull out, although she was in floods of tears (felt realy bad!)

She is 15.2, 6/7 years old, imported from Poland as 3/4 year old, no idea what breed she is. We have scanned our breed books and think she looks most like a Percheron cross or a big highland!

She is a lovely calm gentle soul and surprisingly forward going for her size. Her job will be as a jack of all trades RC horse for my daughter. I will gradualy wean myself onto her when my old faithfull finaly retires.

She is now on a strict fat fighters regime with our tiny terrors so will post more pics when she has lost a bit!

Awww, she's lovely! Will we be seeing you at the next CRC thingy? Hopefully, you won't take another horse who darse to canter on the right leg to beat Alice's little ginger again, lol! Flicka (is this right, I know two Flicka's and one is er and the other is a) looks well as well- how old is she now?
 
Flicks is now 20. Her arthritis is getting worse now, some days she is fine, others she is a bit stiff. She has been quite good this summer (touches wood). The other two pictured are Honey, who was given to us by Jayne Dalton when Tully Lodge closed as a companion. She is lovely but an absolute nutter ridden. The little dun is Denise (knees) who is a companion to Honey because she wont be left on her own LOL, Kness is an ILPH/WHW pony. Either Almera or Flicks will probably be at the next CRC do, I am riding Flicks this Saturday at the RWYM clinic - and am wetting my pants!
 
Hope to see you there then- good luck at RWYM, it looked very interesting. It'll be wierd seeing Soph on a big horse- although she seriously cleaned up at the last CRC thing so we can all breath a sigh of relief? Probably not, lol!
 

She is gorgeous, what a lovely colour. I think Percherons are gorgeous, she certainly looks like one. Although she also resembles a warmblood I knew who was also brought in from Eastern Europe, does she have any brands on her? They tend to brand their birth year on them, I think.

We too have a horse on a diet! Fany is an Ardennes and is losing weight through diet (not a lot of haylage mixed with straw) and gentle exercise. As you say she is also really quite forward going for her size, well once you get her going!
 
She looks nice. Looks like she can't wait to be the other side of the fence in the line up though!

Might be the angle of the photo but it reminds me a little of that synchronised grazing photo someone posted on that thread about funny photos, where two horses were leant right over the same way eating grass.
 
She looks lovely. I would be surprised if she has some Percheron in her. I can see more of that than Highland imo.
