Hello to all the horse transporters out there

I have just been awarded my operators licence and due to the cost of the application, employment of a transport manager, dedicate mechanic, insurance and of course the purchase of my horse lorry, I am struggling which trying to find what people are charging for fully insured Horse transporter. Is there anyone who is in this line of work willing to give me any advise, which would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards

I am amazed that anyone would set up a business, spend money getting it ready to go yet have no idea what they are going to charge/ make from the business, all you had to do was phone round a few companies and ask how much per mile they charge to give you a ball park figure, it will vary from area to area but a local transporter with a 3.5 ton box charges around £1 per mile, there is a minimum charge if under a certain distance but I am not sure what that is, with a set waiting fee of about £10 per hour if attending a show/ vet visit, a bigger lorry will obviously be more per mile.
