I’ve recently started a new horse related website called Horse Factbook (horsefactbook.com) and just wondered what you thought about it and if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see on it?

I only started it about four months ago so it’s early days but I just wondered what other people thought about it. You can be 100% honest, especially if you think it’s no good or could improve in any areas.

Thanks in advance

Laminitis facts are wrong cold feet can also indicate laminitis and care should be clear that restriction of movement until the laminae have healed so at least 30 days post sound on a deep bed. Sedation is often an emergency treatment to help blood flow and stop the horse moving.

There are also a lot of type errors which need correcting so the whole thing needs proof reading. Not wanting to be negative but you did ask it also contains some interesting facts like the difference between UK natives and American ones although not sure UK shetland breeders would agree that US ones are very similar

The biggest emergency of horses is colic so maybe a few early signs and symptoms the for's and against's of surgery.
How to fit the tack correctly
The best feeds for good and poor doers etc
Correct grooming technique
Especially if you are aiming at new owners
photos in the showing section are not working

Haven't got time at the moment to read it in depth but had a quick look. I like the layout and you have a nice way of expressing yourself. I definitely have a proper read when I have a quiet hour.

Thanks they're great ideas and I will definitely do include them, I've actually started to write an article on fitting a saddle to accompany the one on bits so should finish that

Thanks again
