New Horse

Meet my new horse. I am hoping these are the before photos as she is very poor and weak behind.

She is a 7yr old Dutch Warmblood Mare who was inmported in the last few weeks. She's done a bit of jumping up to 1.10 (allegedly) and I am hoping she will event.

I was after a 16.2 bay ISH Gelding but in typical fashion ended up with a chestnut Dutch mare.

She is totally unsettled at the moment so is living up to the chestnut mares reputation. However when I am on her back she is fabulous, in the 4 days I've had her !

tell me about it I was looking for something lightweight, bit of a school master, good at dressage, ended up with........ a 4 year old cob!! Oh well still got him 2.5 years later even though he's tried to murder me on more occasions than I can remember!!

We were looking for a 2 year old mare when we bought Rafi as a yearling colt but he is a superstar ,so I hope yours will be.Looking forward to lots of updates.

Did you import her yourself? Did you try her before you bought her? I have often wondered how it works when you buy one from abroad.

hehe i was looking for a backed coloured native x type about 15hh i ended up with an unbacked 16hh chestnut WBxTB mare... funny how things work out hey? (I wouldnt change my mare now for the world... enjoy her!)

I bought her from a local dealer who regularly imports them - so he did the hard work for me. There are a couple of dealers round here that do this type of thing but no-one I could find who brings in nice irish horses.
