So excited - just back from looking at a horse for my OH. He has only been riding for a couple of months but he is coming on really well so I thought the time had come to get him something to practice on. The old boy we saw was lovely - not a looker by any stretch of the imagination but quiet as a lamb. Hubbie got up and walked trotted and cantered him and got on really well. I got up on him first and warmed him up and popped him over a cross pole - made a total A55 of myself though as horse stopped at the cross pole, I went forward and he brained me in the face

Absolutley mortified! I haven't jumped in ages as I only do flat work on my girl at the mo. It was completely my fault. Good honest horse that he popped over it - poor riding by me that I got brained!

All excited now about him. have to wait and see what my YO says about another one at livery there!

Just wanted to share!!!!!

good luck I have just bought a new horse and my YO has told me no more horses so I have to leave (even though I know they have space)

Got loads of pics but they are on friends camera and we can't find the lead to down load them!!!!!

He is not a looker as I said, skin and bone bless him, feet are a state, head stuck out in front of him and 14 years old but he is perfect for my OH. He doesn't bend, he doesn't come down onto the bit but he walks when you ask him, trots a steady rythym and canters the most comfortable canter ever! Hubbie has only had 6 hours of lessons and he was able to do his thing on him.

So chuffed. Just ave to get him on trial now and ask him a few more questions, get him vetted and then hopefully we have another addition to the family!

AArrgghhhhh don't say that!!!! I asked before going to se him and they said they weren't taking on any more liveries but that there would always be a space available for OH horse. i am just hoping its still the case as I was meant to be looking at a 15 - 16hh heavy, hairy cob and this lad is a 17hh, underweight TB!!!!
