I’ve just put down a deposit on a horse, so assuming the vetting goes well he will be mine!
what do I need for my horse? He comes with a bridle and lightweight turnout, 2 stable rugs and a fly sheet. Any help much appreciated, I have a few bits and am making a list of what else I need but don’t want to miss anything out!

Other than the obvious (a saddle, girth and a couple of saddle pads) - some haynets, buckets, plastic bucket for washing, sponges, Fairy liquid (!), some of those rubbery work gloves for you, a poop scoop and rake, spare leadropes and a spare headcollar. Can't think of anything else at the moment....

How exciting. Good luck for the vetting.

Is the horse going to live out? Be on DIY or full livery? You may need mucking out tools.

Don't forget to ask what feed it's on so that you can get some in advance and will you need feed bins for the feed?

You may want to get some travel boots and a tail guard or bandage for picking it up as well.

DIY livery, and he’s on a balancer, chaff and oats at the moment so will need feed bins x

Rugs. Lots and lots of rugs. Or at least you’d think you’d need heaps of rugs if you entered my tackroom....
