I bought my neddy from my YO who bought him from a chap in ireland in June. His passport has no markings in it at all. Does this matter? he is micro chipped so we know its the right passport but the identity bit has no markings at all but has been signed?

i want to show and dressage him so am i going to have to do something about it.

It's perfectly fine, my horses passport is the same, it's common esp on the continent not to do a silhouette according to my vet. He said I only need to get it done if I want to or for BE. My microchip was checked so I know she's the right horse!!

Perfectly fine...Irish passports for you. They usually use them solely from the microchip/transponder number. Long as that matches up it doesn't matter. Your vet can fill in the sillouettes if wanted.

Yes it's ok. My coloured filly came with a PP with no markings (wise vet!!) but now all horses are microchipped they can be identified that way. If Id have got her PP overstamped by a boloured show society I believe I'd have to have her markings completed but correct me if I'm wrong their guys.
