Ted is now about 18 months but I have been slacking and he hasn't been showcased as yet...! And we all love puppy pics so here goes!

He is a Border Terrier x Jack Russell, and a complete dote! Terrier wise, he wasn't issued with the handbook..he wouldn't know what to do with a rat if it died in front of him, does some very half hearted one pawed digging on rare occasions and he gets his hair cut more often than me :D

His perpetual sleeping position is on his back, has precisely no recall (the only bit of the terrier handbook he has read), he loves a good day trip, takes everything in his stride, except the hoover, which is obviously out to kill him.

I think he's already cost me more in vet bills than Tink did in her 16 years , the youth of today..no substance!

Oh so lovely. He really does look Borderish! Same cross as the terrier looking for a home that I posted about but so different. :)

I know, they can look so different, all his litter looked pretty similar to him but any others I see (on instagram...LOL) look more Jack Russelly like the wee ginger guy. Have you had any luck with finding him somewhere?

Hopefully someone is seeing him next week.

The rat thing made me laugh, my jrt is exactly the same. We had a rat in the garden last summer, pointed terrier in the rough direction expecting an instant result. He took a look, ran back inside and I had to send in a springer to do the deed, which he did with deadly accuracy. Your little guy is very handsome, never mind if hes a bit of a failure on the terrier front, he makes up for it with cute :)

My old terrier would be away days at a time down some fox burrow or other, or eating rabbits on the front lawn when we had guests over  so bit of a change, and less stressful to be fair, but some pest control would be useful
He certainly knows he's cute, gets away with all sorts

That last picture looks like the groomer has done a very cute puppy cut round his face, it’s a very commonly requested look at the groomer’s at the yard and no wonder! It enhances his gorgeous face.

Aww... he's lovely.

I had a JRT when I was little and he'd read the whole handbook. I think the full title is 'The Terrier Handbook; Murder, Mayhem and Embarrassment, in 5 easy steps!'. (Extended chapters: "You Can Eat It!", "Think Yourself Big", and "Your Owner's Garden: The Way YOU Want It!".

Superb! Is that why you went GSD?

Actually that was a bit of an accident; my OH had one when we started dating. I initially thought he was MASSIVE but now I don't see any GSD as big. They are more 'me' than terriers though. I like my dogs to do what they are asked generally speaking. Not bog off at high speed, not hump a potential boyfriend's leg, not be sick on the carpet and eat it at important dinners, not murder my cousin's rabbits... I could go on. Good stories though.

It is no accident that 'terriers' autocorrects to 'terrors'.
