New job in Lichfield - what area to live / keep horse?

Long term lurker looking for some advice!

I've got a new job in Lichfield but am not familiar with the area. I'm looking for any recommendations as to what's a good area for keeping a horse in the surrounding area? ... my priority when looking at where to live! I'm happy with up to a 45 minute commute into Lichfied, but not wanting to live in Lichfield itself due to nature of my work.

Googling areas is confusing so hoping some HHOers might be able to help!

For cheapness go north towards burton or Derby, then you need to decide what kind of livery you want

I don't live in the area but I have been to Fox Meadow, Fradley. BHS approved livery yard indoor and outdoor school. I liked the place, nice people might be worth a look.

We live 7 miles north of Lichfield. There are lots of lovely villages around us but not that cheap! Burton is a lot cheaper but don't think that you would want to live there. Hacking is fairly good and some off road and lots of small yards around offering DIY or part livery. Eland Lodge is very close too for competitions, shopping and they do livery too. You could go close to Cannock Chase which is fine for your horse but not such a nice area to live but property is much cheaper than Lichfield and surrounding villages. Haha! I have just replied to you but I have a feeling that somebody on this forum might send you a message warning you that I'm horrible which I promise you I'm not! Luckily the person that they messaged took no notice as they are friends of a good friend of mine anyway!
