The yard where MJ lives is busy building a new huge arena, stable block, x country course, and later on, an indoor school! Lots of plans.

As well as the livery side, they want to open a small riding school - and have asked me (!!!!) to be their dressage instructor eeekkkk! Off to study for my PTT!

So, I'm now super busy, and then *cue dramatic music* they've now got a horse for me to ride, as Mister 'Pork Ball' Jay is retired.

O'Reilly is a lovely, dapple grey, 16.2 7 year old, Irish Sports Horse x Connie. He seems very calm and sensible (which is just as well cos I am an extremely nervous rider).

My OH and I are sneaking up to the yard tomorrow whilst everyone is out at a show, to ride him! Fingers and toes crossed that he goes as nicely for me as he did for my friend today.

I will be supplying photos asap - once I've stopped shaking!

Stiff drink all round, I think

Fab! I hope your ride goes really well :)

Well doen on your new job too. Good idea to get your PTT as well. I hope that goes really well for you too ;)

I hope to hear updates in the future.

Oh how lovely to ride such a nice horse - felt really proud to be on him.

He felt safe, and happy; had a good look at everything and jogged a bit, but very responsive. And huge!!!

He needs a lots of building up, especially his hindquarters, and he has what looks like a very small melanoma under his tail (will be keeping a very close eye on this).

I think this week we must get the dentist, and back lady out to check him over.

But, it was wonderful to ride such a -so far- genuine horse (no offense, MJ).

Blimey, need a stiff gin now!
