Couldn't help myself and brought this girlie home today, she is 9 weeks and so far nameless! I hadn't told my three year old so when he came home from nursery he got a nice surprise!

He wants to call her Tabby McTat, which is the cat in his favourite Julia Donaldson book... Unfortunately for him he has an incredibly girly mum who wants to give her a girly, flowery name haha

We already have a cat who hasn't met the new arrival yet, he knows something is going on though and is currently skulking along the outside window ledges, angrily peering in! He's such a mummy's boy, not sure how impressed he will be, doubt he's going to take too kindly to babysitting duties!

Isn't she lovely? :)

Definitely Tabby McTat :smile3: It could be worse - at his age, I was quite convinced my new baby sister should be called "Hairy Mclary from Donaldson's Dairy" - after the Lynley Dodd book :redface3:

meandmyself why didn't I think of that?! And she suits Tabitha, its a win win situation :)

Introduction with Marlow the boy cat was highly amusing. The kitten having been in a litter for 9 weeks was SO excited to have a friend and bounded over to him, Marlow was borderline terrified, every time kitten moved he jumped a foot in the air. Lots of hissing and swiping going on from both of them then they settled on opposite couches glowering at each other. Poor kitten has been running up to run her head on him whenever she sees him, while Marlow recoils in horror haha I still haven't managed to get a photo of them together!

Ah well, they'll come round eventually :)

Caught my son fast asleep on the couch with her today after nursery, after telling her all about his day, bless them :)
