Good afternoon all,

Have been given some birthday pennies and have decided to use them to buy my girl some hind boots. I like the look of the NEW Lightweight Competition boots, just wondered if anyone could tell me if they come up big/small/just right?

She wears medium Woof Wear Ultra boots in front and they're a pretty good fit. I've heard the hind boots of this range don't give a great fit, so have been looking at the NEW boots instead as they always get great reviews on here. She's 15.2 and not very chunky.

I was thinking medium in the NEW boots also? Also, the best price I've seen is Old Dairy saddlery (thanks to their 20% off offer at the moment), does anyone know of anywhere that cna beat £39 for the pair?!

Thanks!

They are quite long boots as they are speedicut. TBH if your mare is quite petite you may be boarderline on a size small

Hi, we use the NEW boots on our point-to-pointers.

They come up pretty standard size, so a medium sound about right for your girl. Our 16hh wears a medium and they fit pretty well. I think small would be too small. Remember though, when you try them on they are supposed to come really high on the inside, so don't think they're too big, if they do.

39 quid sound about the best price you're going to get for them, so I'd snap them up if I was you

Hmm... maybe I'll have a re-think then if they come up very long. Don't particularly need the speedicut style, just wanted something with a decent amount of protection, durable and no sheepskin lining!

Any advice on the sizing of other brands?!

I bought large as my lad is 16.2 MW - are useable but could really have done with med. On OH's 16.2 mare they are far too long

maybe have a look at premier equine boots, they are virtually identical to NEW boots, might take your fancy

sizing is very standard
