Hi Everyone
I have been so excited, we got our new little girl today a 10week old dobermann puppy! She is just the cutest ever.
She is my first dobey, does anyone have any advice or experiences to share that may help me bring her up to be perfect! She is quite a tirant at the minute lol

Runs and hides now as she's never owned a Doberman anyway!

OK give me a short while and ill sort some out, thats if she stays still for longer than 3 seconds in order for me to take some!!
She thinks my dining room floor is the blooming toilet?????? And how many times can she actually go?? lmho
Its a good job id already decided new carpet and kitchen when shes a bit older i think i may need it, nothing is sacred....
It is such a longtime since ive had a puppy i had forgotten they are programmed for mass destruction.
Max the springer isnt so keen on her but im sure he'll change his mind once she towers above him and tells him to get out of her space. He is quite a coward really bless him
 
FIRST DOBE:eek: lol, im kidding but only slightly:rolleyes: they are hard work, so my advice would be, be very very consistant with training and get your recall mastered very very early and socialise her to death, they are stubborn animals and have a natural suspicion of strangers hence the socialising, they can learn very quickly and then un learn it jsut as quick:rolleyes:

I will post in on her one day, when I can be bothered to see how many reply boxes I will need to fit it all in:p

Also get a crate, they suffer from seperation anxiety commonly and you dont want a full grown dobe destroying your house, it will also help with her toilet training.

Without being mean....I know a fair few that have got the early days very wrong with dobes. I love them and think they are wonderful dogs. Take Cayla up on her puppy manual, get well socialised and basic training as early as possible is a must...so is consistency, in my experience they are one of the breeds that you give an inch and they take a mile, you can make a rod for your own back very quickly!
ALso in agreement that really making a post like this without the addition of piccies is a bit out of order :p We need pics please!! :D

How do you load pics on having a senior moment as one strange looking dog to put on ours i may add for a challenge of what breed

Dobermans can luff u into such a false sense of security when they are so young and innocent;) wait till she is a big girl:eek::D
She is def cute, but then thats is her ploy:p:D
 
PMSL there are two that come to our club, they are lovely but do have a case of 'not coming back right now Dad, hahahaha!' - itis :p
The male - who used to gallop around the field gleefully wagging his tail, deaf to the world - has come on in leaps and bounds with a lot of hard work - but he has been banned from the agility equipment for giving everyone a heart attack, he tries to jump the whole A-frame and loves to do death-defying stunts :o
