I have a cheap pair of rubber long boots that are great just for home, but I want some nicer ones for if I ever get to a show!

Thing is I take 9/43 (big feet for a girl!) and have a reasonably slim calf.

So which long boots do you lot swear by? I like the look if the lace up front but unsure if they're ok for stressage, like the shaped top too but pretty sure they're not correct for showing!

Budget is roughly £250

I have a pair of Brogini Gallipoli lace ups. Fantastic as they're made to measure so were good for my short legs! Extremely cOmfortable and very posh looking but also hard wearing enough to do some pootling round the yard (so long as there's not too much mud!) I think they're in your budget I got mine for £200 plus shipping (they're made in Italy) and they also do a plain front version with no laces :)

Mountain horse supreme high riders - Loads of different heights and widths

I have a very slim calf and only off the peg I can get to fit with the height aswell

They are laced at front also :)

Did see these the other day and thought they looked gorgeous, says the soles are bsja, bd, be, brc approved but not sure that the lacing is ok for dressage/ BD, showing (sure I saw something somewhere saying that you couldn't have laces!?)

I'm pretty sure laces are fine for anything - I have Worn them for unaff dressage/BE/BS/working hunter and been absolutely fine :)

I have a pair of the German Cavallo but they are way too heavy. I now have multiple pairs of Italian Sergio Grasso. They are the best...

Ariats Bromonts. Love em.

I also have a pair of Conistons and some Mudbusters. Yep. I love Ariat.:D

Me too.. Except you can swop the conistons for grasmeres ;) I've also got ariat jod boots and chaps. Nothing better on the market IMO.

I'm a jodhpur boot and gaiter girl myself, but I have only heard excellent things about broginis. A friend of mine rides four a day and events, and hers are nearly three years old and holding up brilliantly, although they did take a bit of breaking in!
