I have 2 horses & a 2 horse lorry. I also normally travel to shows on my own. I don't work with horses so this would be private.
According to today's H&H there should be one person per horse. Is this correct? Can I no longer take both my boys in the lorry at the same time, unless I take someone else with me?
Any thoughts apreciated.

I don't think the commercial horse transporters take one person per horse. Whilst i can see the logic behind it, i don't *think* it is law

It says ' Where the animals are pets accompanied by their owner. To benefit from the individual animal exclusion, when transporting more than one animal, a person responsible for each animal must travel with it, so two people for 2 horses, five people for five horses, and so on'

Not just pigeon fanciers, what about sheep transporters, and then there's pharmaceutical companies transporting bacteria. Omg, the worlds gone mad

EH?

You mean if I advertise my partner's business (woollen/feltmaking mill) on the side of a small 3.5t Renault Master van, I'm turning myself into a business?

Argh

apparently so....

I haven't got the mag with me so can't remeber exact details

But you wouldn't want Horsebox manufactureers putting there name on the side anymore either

I thought that... tough for those who're going to have to paint them out on their existing vans...

but as far as I can tell from reading H&H, the new regs only apply to MAM under 3.5 tonnes, so the smaller boxes should be exempt - but will have to check up now and find out.

sigh
