Hello,

My name is James and I live in South Derbyshire. I own an IDx gelding called Charlie who lives on a yard a few miles away in Staffordshire. Our aim is to start eventing in about a year's time.

The furry dice...
It was a "dress up for dressage" test. Seperate marks for the test and for the "bling". I won the test, but was only placed 2nd in the bling section (we woz robbed). White jacket, diamante cap cover, "gold" clown pendant, furry dice on the front of the saddle, "hunk of board" sign on the back, flashing LEDs on the girth and the competitor nimber disc was a car tax disc holder!

Only the dark bay in the topmost photos (Charlie) is mine. I have had him for 18 months and he is my first. It has been a very steep learning curve as for months he was a total swine, but we turned the corner about 9 months ago. I bought the lorry earlier this year (bang goes the promotion payrise) so that we could go to shows and Cannock Chase for days out (sounds like Wallace and Grommit).

The doctorate was in computer-aided factory design (I design aero and marine engine factories amongst other things). Not married/attached/whatever. No kids (that I am aware of or admit to). Financial status...well I have my own house, car, horse and lorry, and they are all paid for!
