So i got my new mini on wed night and he was stabled until last night and i thought i was tired of watching my mare try to break her way into him so i would put them out. I put her headcollar on and went to catch him (not used to being handled) and thought she would stay in her stable, but no, she slid the door back and opened his and came in! She thinks he's great settled him and walked them to the field and let her off and she stood waiting for his 'release'. They trotted off him running alongside like a foal and when the neighbours poked their heads over she made nasty faces at them, they seem to have bonded VERY quickly, but i shall take pics to let you's know what i mean, i hope i dont have to take him to shows with her?!

Hehe they are so funny!

I remember when I first put Monty out with Gertie, he just started going wheeeeeeeeeee round the field and Gertie was like WHAT ON EARTH IS IT and joined in but in the opposite direction going pingpingpingwheeeeeeeee and when they met in the middle she'd do a monster spook and bronc and go the other way, it carried on for ages, I was peeing my pants laughing! Now I can do ride and lead with them!!!

Thanks guys, Merrymaker that is such a funny story, i wish i could of seen that. She is actually my secong mini, but shes at my house with my mums horse and during the comp season i keep my horse at my OH's house as it has a sand school. Just out of interest how many do you's have and what do you's do with them?

I just have the 1 mini, I rescued him fron an awful dealer in surrey, he was a companion for my girly Merry, but she sadly died. I couldn't bear to get rid of him so he came to live at the yard I worked, then I left so he's now living at a big posh competiton yard keeping Gee company and he likes to be a companion at shows for lonely horses too =D what about you?

Oh he sounds so cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love one but my boy is petrified of anything under 12hh -He just cant work out what they are !
I had to ask one to move at a comp, it was a companion to a horse warming up but was completely freaking mine out and he never spooks at anything! It was wearing a pink rug though !
Pictures please !

Actually wait, add me to facespacebook (Kate Redley) and look at my horsebook ehehehe they are both on their (yes I got bored haha)

We've just got one mini, Charlie who is a 32 in Falabella x. He came with his best friend, a dear little shetland who had laminitis and after 5 months was PTS. Charlie comes for walks with our big soppy gelding.

Here Charlie is just after he arrived (note his previous owner had cut a bridleline into his mane
