I would just see what flows. I have never changed any of my horses names, but they have evolved or shortened. It would probably start with Tids and move from there anything that rhymes. My old ones went from Tyler to Tiz and Maddi to Moo. Others still called them by there propper names though.

What about Tilly (not too far from Tiddles)?

Nothing wrong with changing a horse's name, Bodey was called Steven when I got him, and touch wood, hasn't been bad luck for us!
