Hi everyone,
after following many of your posts for over a year now, felt it was time i
joined. after loosing two horses seven weeks apart in 2009 i turned to the internet which i hadn,t used before...
I can relate to so many things on here particularly not being able to get over
the loss of a horse, its so helpful to see that others feel the same way, so i would like to say i am on here in memory of dear little Secret welsh/arab and big ginger T.B boy Jack who will never be forgotten.
But i do have a new boy who i have had for a year now and he is a little ex race horse called Romeo. i am going to go for now as i am rambling on.....

Welcome :) Sorry about the loss of your horses, it must have been horrible for you. Glad you've found another horse to love. I have an ex racehorse too. Hope you enjoy the forum.

Hello and welcome :)

Sorry to hear about the loss of your horses. This place is great to share experiences and i'll be interested in hearing about Romeo.

Thanks so much all of you for being so friendly, after i lost Jack,i felt my world had ended it was bad enough when Secret went, but only seven weeks later, Jack going as well was too much. some people thought i should have a break but all you do is dwell on it all the time.
I started looking at other horses after trying out two horses which didn,t work out i came across Romeo, not my usual type of horse normally ride 16.2s he is only 15.1 felt like a pony to start with. Romeo is a funny little horse he was a stallion until he was 8 so has a bit of attitude and likes to make horrid faces sometimes but he is bright and quick to learn anyway as my luck would have it three months into owning him he went lame on the turn and guess what navicular, could have sent him back still under warranty, but couldn,t bare to had formed a bond with him.
After my awful year before had had enough of vets getting things wrong so i have taken Romeo barefoot, i am very lucky to have Trevor Jones as my EP he is working wonders with his feet, so we are six months into it and i am start ing to ride him a little at a time so hopefully by spring he will be right.

Hello. You are in good company here. Many of us have lost dearly loved animals and have found to our shock that we still joined in with the madness by buying another! :D

Welcome. Like you, I have lost 2 this year. Had my new boy 6 months, and now we have a partially severed tendon, prognosis unknown at the moment. It just always seems to be us. Sorry about the bad vibes.
Please post some pics soon of Romeo to cheer me up! :D
