Hi, Does anyone use Bushy Vets with their KBIS insurance scheme? Is it reasonable? Can anyone recommend Insurance companies please for my first horse to be? Thank you
Don't know about any special arrangement, but KBIS are well respected, so I would probably go with vet's recommendation, they will find it easier to work with a company they know.
Others are SEIB, Petplan etc.
NOT one that seem to good to be true, heavily advertised and called E & [ ], or a sister company with a different name but same company. Most vets will ask you to pay upfront if you are with this company, and you are left to get the cash off them direct.
There are two types of insurance policies, one for death [or death and loss of use], another is for vet cover, this is limited, here I would probably go for about 5K with an affordable excess. Unfortunately there are quite a lot of Terms and Conditions, one could say to allow companies to get out of paying!.... often a problem will be covered for a year and not after, its a bit more complex than that, but that is the gist of it.
