So true, we are a bit rubbish at looking after it, aren't we.

That's not true, we are having a good go at responding to our problems now :) I am doing Environmental Management at uni and am going to become an environmental manager for a company to help them reduce their environmental impacts. I personally feel very responsible for our actions to our planet, as do many others. There are extensive policies, improvements and such going ahead now to help us go in the right direction, as long as we do something about it in this next century, we will be fine, I personally feel the planet is worth fighting for :)

Can you tell I have been writing my literature review this morning?!

Ignore the media, they paint a gloomy picture about everything. If everyone took a few small steps; change a few light bulbs to energy savers, do a bit of recycling, ride your horse to the pub instead of drive ;) there is loads of little things we can all do to make a difference.

The problem is everyone goes; 'Its only little old me, what can I do?' Well that's the problem, if everyone takes a few small steps, we've got it cracked :)

Can you tell I feel strongly about this? :D

Difficult to get overly excited about it untill more is known of the solar systems orbital patterns.
Given how few stytems we have found like our own, it would be logical to assume we are an oddity rather then the norm!
Is there something akin to the Kaiser belt would be a fairly important question!

Without been a tree hugged, another planet for human beings to destroy, but I do agree in inhabiting it with "do gooders"!!!!

Yes... and you forgot the most important thing, which is the best thing we humans can do for the planet is not to breed so successfully it's not realy what we are doing its how many are doing it! and I strongly believe this planet will do fine and be here long after mans reign..

Yup, coz the apes are making a come-back! Did you not see those documentaries..??

~Tongue-in-cheek~

In 350 years time, we will inhabit that planet, as this one will be a dead rock as we will have stripped Mother Earth of all her resources....

:p

If anyone read the first line of the article, it's 600 light years away. So, if we left today, and travelled there at the speed of light, it would take 600 years to get there.

Don't see us moving in anytime soon. :D

BTW, the speed of light is 299,792,458 metres per second, that's 670,616,629 mph

Never mind Logans Run, I'm thinking WALL-E

...but don't you watch Star Trek??

They developed slip-stream technology that lets them go UBER-FAST...so that would work, wouldn't it?

:D:D:D:D:D
