Hi everyone,

Firstly, thank you to those of you who answered my post about transport and money the other day...you helped save me lots of stress.

My new pony arrived yesterday so I thought I'd learn how to put a pic on, and pick all your brains!

He is 14hh and 7 years old. His mummy was a pure Fell Pony, but I don't know what his daddy was and was wondering what you all think he might have been? There must be some pony breed experts out there!

and don't worry...he is going on a bit of a diet!

(only nice comments about him please, I'm in new-pony-glow stage)

but must be something native? With a bit of a diet he will be fine! Nice looking hoss

Oh yes I would have to agree, his outlook is very Welsh orientated, be it a Section C or D, but I can see a vanner type in the pony as well so would say Welsh X Cob for the other parent.

She's fab and so is yours ThomasTank. They're both gorgeous and i really hope they are Welsh x fell as my Fell is hopefully in foal to a welsh D and if he/she looks like that there certainly won't be any complaints!!!

I reckon Dad may have been a traditional cob type or maybe a Welsh x cob. Whatever his parentage is though he is CUTE

I would say Fell x cob type too - he looks very handsome. A bit chunkier than most Fells though so there must be some cob or draught in there.

Thanks everyone, I was thinking either Fell x welsh or maybe Fell x gypsy cob type because he is sooooo furry!!! You can't see it on the pictures but he has the most amazing moustache!
