It was forecast to be the nicest day of the year so far with temperatures in the high teens. So we missed the area BS comp to go to the beach!

What we got was warm but very wet and very windy weather.

My daughter rode her other pony George and her friend rode the new pony Toby because she loves him, even when she knew he could be a little naughty!
We'd had Toby 1 week, given him a severe haircut (see other thread) and been on manners training.

G had been to the beach once about 6 weeks ago so he was now a pro and there to teach T how to behave. First reaction to the sand was it looked good enough to roll in but luckily he didn't get the chance, but then he didn't like the feel on his feet and tried to kick it off. M rode him really well (shes only 11 and not got her own pony) and kept him calm and going forward (well mostly forward, but also a lot of backwards and sideways!)
He was a lot better when the girls got to the hard sand beside the water and they had a lovely time galloping up and down the beach.
As we were all pretty wet with the rain they only paddled in the sea but it was a positive first visit.
