So I rode this one, Pepper, today...
First I took him in one of the kids' groups in the school. They were doing shallow loops in trot etc and he's four without much balance so we didn't really join in with that. He wasn't at all worried about the dual carriageway on the ot side of the fence, but things like cones and jump blocks did bother him!
He was nice and willing, but a bit fidgety when we had to wait for our turn.
Then hacked him out this evening and he was FABULOUS!
he felt so much more mature and seemed to be really enjoying himself - felt very safe and dependable, and yet was really enthusiastic and good fun. I pointed him at a fallen branch on the ground and he pinged it with great style, despite being an unbalanced stocky little coblet!
So in short I like him a lot!
I haven't ridden either of the others yet.
