hi, i bought a pony a couple of months ago passported as rising 4, have had dentist and vet out who say he is rising 3, he was rescued from the sales in a very poor state by previous owner who says her vet told her it is possible that malnourishment affected his teeth eruption, anyone know if this is at all likely, thanks

Pretty sure it's not possible. Far more likely that passport has been wrongly dated to make horse more saleable. It happened to me once - I had a pony with an Irish passport. When i contacted the agency, they had a record of the covering for the date that had been given for the birth!

thanks for replies, i didnt think to ask the vet as i think i was in shock, he was actually backed end of last year and i bought him to bring on this year, obv that will now have to wait, i agree prob wrong age put on passport was just hoping otherwise lol
