Hiya I've just taken on a new loan pony a lovely 14,2 Anglo Arab perfect gentleman in all areas. Only problem is I no how to care for him in theory as have done the vet nursing diploma but is it normal to feel nervous that I won't do a good job of caring for him? As I getting worked up on how much to feed etc am I being silly or does this happen to everyone when getting tere first horse?

It is normal to worry. :)

Will you have support at the yard? Is there a Yard owner/manager or even a helpful, experienced livery who could help you if you need to check something?

Also why don't you ask the owner to let you know what feed the pony is eating at the moment?

Anglos are super, I hope you have a wonderful time with your loan pony. :)

I think that we have all been there. Don't be afraid to ask for help or a second opinion, it doesn't cost anything. I felt a complete numpty to begin with and asked lots of what could have been considered silly questions. Fortunately everyone at the yard was brilliant and always helped out or offered a second opinion when asked. It will get easier as you get into a routine and gain more confidence.
