Oh Cortez! 😍 What a little stunner, and she just loves the camera. I think I may have seen her being advertised by the rescue? You actually managed to get a rescue dog in Ireland, did you bribe them or steal her away in your poacher's pocket?😊 Does she have a name yet?
Ha ha! Yes, it's quite the ordeal. After having been turned down by one rescue, from whom I have previously had (and still have) a dog, for a different (and also beautiful) puppy for being, wait for it......"too old for a puppy", this one is from a different rescue. She's a lovely little dear :).

Her name is Tigra, for the moment - it often takes a while for them to announce what they will ultimately be called, I find.

Cheeky feckers!
.
Actually I do see their point. If she lives a long life I could well be 78 (or dead) by the time she's leaving the mortal coil, and many dogs end up in rescue after their elderly owners either die, go into care or become incapable of looking after them. I do have plans in place for mine should that happen, though.

I did wonder Saluki from the set of the ears, but didn’t like to guess. Sweet little girl, all whippets seem to be bigger than in previous years.
I have a TINY whippet, but she didn't have a very good start either and arrived a skeleton. People have suggested that she's part Italian Greyhound, but I think not.

Glad you have been successful this time, she looks gorgeous, I’ve not had the saluki cross lurcher and I thought they were a bit wayward. Mind you my previous lurcher was whippet/bedlington/bearded collie and she was adorable but very prey driven so I spent many hours waiting for her ladyship to return. Good luck with her

She is absolutely gorgeous. I have had a saluki x whippet for ten years now and he has been the best dog ever. Highly trainable, clever, never scared of other dogs but knowing how to keep out of trouble. He was my rock when we had all kinds of rescue dogs in the house.
