hi, i currently own two spaniels and also a cat and have just bought a new spaniel puppy.
the two older spaniels were introduced as puppies so introducing them was very easy.
what would be the best way to introduce the puppy to them all?
i brought the puppy home today and have seperated my kitchen into two halves with the crate in the middle so they can see eachother at a safe distance.
misty, one of the older dogs, is often very nervous when meeting new dogs at first so i am mainly worried about introducing her as although she is a lovely friendly dogs normally, she can sometimes growl at unfamiliar dogs.
what is the best thing to do and the best time to do it?
thanks

I'd honestly just put them all together but make sure they all have their own space to get away from eachother and I wouldn't leave them unsupervised for a bit.

Don't be suprised if the older dogs go all sulky, they will come around to the idea to sharing with a youngster :D

Supervision all the way, you have covered the crate part, so they can get to stay in the sme room as her with a barrier, this alone will do the trick, dont let the puppy pester them and feed them seperately obs, I usually sit the puppy on my knee and let the older dogs approach and sniff if they like, then let the puppy have a walk around with me right there, aslongas your olders have an escape route if needed:D all should be good, let them have a good few sessions like that to get used to each other.
