Poor Poor girl, whatever did she do to deserve this..?
Thank heavens for the rescues & charities.
I know of two people that have found sight hounds/lurchers hogtied & left to die. Both people kept them & they are now thriving.
Wishing this girl well & a happy home in the future.
Cant say too much at the moment.....as we are hoping to help investigate and prosicute.....lets just say another greyhound fall out
She was covered from head to foot in fleas, has trouble resting and sleeping due to bony extremeties, covered in pressure sores and struggling to swallow.......she is now able to stand and so much more alert.....after 3 days of fluids....I think she will pull through
Poor poor girl I hope that from now on her life will be better. Thank god for rescue centres. How can people be bad to animals? I really hope they get their just deserts
Yep.......It can be hard.....we come across some real ignorant numb F**ERS for want of better words......u just have to grin and bare it for the sake of the animals.
poor little lady.
How can people be so bloody cruel.
At least she is being well cared for now, she looks a lovely little bitch. bless her
Hope shes ok, keep us updated.
God bless people like you
She is a very pretty girl.........lovely orange brindle colour.......she is very sweet......I will post more of the fattening up process as time goes buy
She is currently sleeping on a double quilt as the pain and pressure of lying on those exposed bones are causing her alot of restlessness.........she is so much brighter in herself.....after just a few days......which is hopefull.......her liver function has been effected.....but we are hoping this will improve with condition.
I know..............the birds eye view shows the full extent of the starvation she has suffered.............we know she has gone along period without food.........as she is struggling to swallow the smallest morsal of food at the moment
She probably has not had a taste of food for about 3 weeks
Bless her little socks. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will pull through this, lucky little thing landing on your doorstep. Complete with her ears too.
I have a particularly soft spot for greyhounds and have had several rescues over the years, my first, that I had for nine years was shut in a shed with four others and was the only one alive when they were found, pictures I was shown of her were similar to the state your girl is in now. Sadly the set up I have now is not suitable for greyhounds so I'll just have to rescue something else instead.
I hope that this comes to court and somebody is made to pay for it, but it's so hard to get things to stick. My hounds owner said that he gave her away so it wasn't his fault and walked off scot free with everyone knowing he was lying his head off.
Thats awful and really shocking. What a sweet looking dog she is, thankfully she's with you now and with your TLC I'm sure will be back to her beautiful self very soon. Look forward to the updates.
Alfie my lurcher arrived just like this after being kept in a shed for a year but he made a fantastic recovery and apart from some damage done to his leg when he was a pup he has no lasting problems. I hope this poor girl enjoys her new life as much as he seems to enjoy his.
I have never seen anything as disgraceful as that in my whole life. I hope to god that that dog is traceable to someone who can take responsibility for the state it is in. Im keeping fingers crossed thet she pulls herself through, along with you and your mas help
