Im looking for a new velvet riding hat for comps but all the ones i try make me look like ive got my head stuck in a garden planter and ive already got one of those! Ive seen "beagler" shaped hats with flesh coloured straps but cant find anything locally, can someone let me know what I should be looking for? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated xxx

Best thing to do is to go to several different tack shops or a big show and try on all the different makes to get one you like as well as one that fits properly!

Charles Owen definately do one like you have mentioned.

Hi. I have the same problem. I sooooooo object to spending about £100 on a hat that I hate the shape of!

If you find one, please let me know - I am looking for a navy one with flesh coloured strap and it MUST look like a beagler!!

Thanks.

I have a Charles Owen H2000 which I personally really like.. but think it depends on what shape your face is ... you need to try a few on and see what suits

I used to have a charles owen h2000 which retails at just over £100 but it is a very tall hat, I have just purchased a showjumper xp which retails at around £80 and is a little more shallow but is much nicer and fits abit better too. I would strongly reccomend it. I have the navy, with beige straps [image]http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2312661&l=3d70d817d8&id=501938575[/image]
