New saddle being scratched already

Grr, I have only had it two weeks! Its my fault as it mostly has to live in my boot as I have nowere to keep it on site and I go to yard straight from work. I have it in a saddle bag but it makes no difference.

Anyone got any ideas how to stop it marking so easily, and rubbing where the leathers sit

What about putting it on a saddle mate in the boot or back seat? Dont think there much to be done about stirrup leather rub though?

I do the saddlemate thing too! works a treat and a lovely fleece saddle cover aswell, if you want the stirrup leathers not to rub then, get a really still lower leg that never moves or place on a saddle rack and never use again! that way it will always be perfect!

when you transport it to the stables and back you could always take your stirrup leathers off and then put them back on when you are tacking up.
