was wrestling with my wintec today to try and change the gullet, and got absolutely no where, so i am now stuck a saddle that doesnt fit, and a spare gullet that was a waste of money. the screws would just not budge.

so i spoke to my mum and she said her and my dad will get me a new one from christmas (yay :D)

so where should i even start looking? i dont want to be spending (well my parents dont want to be spending) huge amounts, but i dont want crappy quality. i liked my wintec but i dont want to be wrestling like that everytime i have to change the gullet.. anyone have any good ideas :) ?

Get a saddle fitter out to check it and change the gullet - often when you change the gullet you need to adjust the flock as well - no point in just fixing part of the problem.

They'll have better tools to change it - the little allen keys you get with the saddles are crap.

sounds like you might have stripped the screw heads or something - it only used to take me 10-15 minutes to completely change the gullet on my wintec so definately take yours to a saddler for an opinion before spending money on a new saddle
