New series The Dog House

Enjoyed it tonight. More about the actual dogs than personal stories about the adopters, just enough. How gorgeous was Pipit 😍. I could have happily taken her home.

I enjoyed last night too. That little girl was SO funny and I am not usually interested in the families as much as the dogs!
Nearly had a fit to find a Flatcoated retriever in a rescue kennels, the majority of breeders will take them back and rehome if things go wrong or there is the breed society rescue or the IFFR.
Hopefully a happy ending for that very sweet dog who showed al the usual flatcoat traits of kind friendliness and constant licking!!

A little update about the Flatcoated Retriever Pipit. His owners have joined the Facebook group for owners of Flatcoats, that I have belonged to for many years. They posted some lovely photos and are delighted to be in touch with other flatcoat owners.
They seem a lovely couple. So glad they are making friends with other owners of the breed.

That is brilliant, I was hoping they would find some other FCR owners.

I agree MM, I find it strange that they just let people they hardly know, be shut in a room with a dog. I know they are watching but how close is help if something went wrong?
I do think the whole thing is edited a lot. So obvious from the clients in different clothing or even hair styles.
They make it seem as though the people come in, say what they want and instantly get it, but I don’t believe it’s really like that.

Woody the Papillon mix would be my pick this week. Just a delightful little dog.

Grady the Lurcher was a close second. I wasn't entirely convinced that a young Lurcher was the correct match for a lady recovering from such traumatic injuries, but it looked to have ended okay.

I'm glad they didn't take Macie. If they were finding one spaniel hard work, then they would have been pulling their hair out with double trouble. Especially with such a young pup.

I was a bit meh about all of the dogs this week. None of them my type though.

I agree, it was an underwhelming week.
An excitable spaniel cross was not a good match for a young spaniel. The black spaniel may have been a lively youngster in his own right but he was very confused and not at all happy with that manic cross bred. The husky was a wrong match too. I felt the Chef needed a responsive retriever.
Still they do on the whole do a great job matching people to suitable dogs and I like the way the staff do work with the dogs to put a few commands, like sit and down in place for when they meet prospective owners.
