Hello everyone! :)
In October, i had to make the horrible decision of giving my loan mare back. My parents aren't horsey so i had to cover the costs of keeping the horse at DIY livery, which meant getting a part time job, but as a full time sixth form student doing my A levels, i was pushing it a little bit, time and energy wise. So something had to give, it couldn't be school, and it couldn't be the job as without the job i couldn't keep the horse, so unfortunately and as hard as it was, after 2,5 years of loaning my lovely mare, she went back to her owner.
After about 2 weeks break from horses, i couldn't stay away from them any longer. I started looking for a share, 2-3 days a week, a nice horse that i could ride maybe compete but if i had exams i didn't have to go up as the horse still had their owner, and of course the money wouldn't be an issue as i'd have a set fee and that'd be it, no surprise vet/feed/bedding bills.
I found a lovely 17hh warmblood, very close by and i already knew the owner. I introduced her on here (the horse), unfortunately after about a month, both me and owner agreed that it's not going to work out. I was getting bored and fed up of having to hack out constantly, and the owner changed jobs so she had time to ride more again.
So the search started again.
I have finally found one that i am hoping will work out a lot better. I go up on thursday, saturday and sunday, am allowed to do pretty much anything i want; hack, school, jump etc. And the owners are willing for me to hunt and compete and even offered to take me. They have a daughter my age so i have someone to hack with and they completely understand that in exam period i won't be able to ride as much. I also don't have to pay anything, just ride and give the horse some 1-2-1 attention.
The horse is a 17hh Warmblood x Appy, 12years old, gelding, with an awful name, he's called Fugly.
His show name is Ghostly Vision so i don't know why they named him fugly, i personally don't think he's that ugly to deserve that name! He's got stunning paces, and has been trained very well some time ago, unfortunately, he's like a 5 year old child that's eaten a packet of caffeine pills and downed 2 litres of redbull, so he has scared his owners a little bit, as they are used to 14.2hh whizzy ponies, not a 17hh lump, throwing itself about and wanting to do everything as fast as possible as soon as possible. He works beautifully once settled, but it takes about 1 hour to settle him  His jumping is also awesome, so i've been told, but apparently his excitement levels rise even more. I say 'apparently' because i haven't got round to jumping him yet, that is happening tomorrow, he hasn't been jumped since November so please keep your fingers x'd for me that all goes well!
Here's some pics of him :)

Sorry for the amount that i've written and well done if you got this far! :)

What a lovely post and hes far from ugly. Can i also say (and please i hope it doesnt come over as patronising as i dont mean it like that) what avery sensible grownup young adult you are. looking forward to more posts :) x

Perhaps calling him Fugly is ironic? He certainly isnt ugly and I bet you have loads of fun with him. All the best to you and good luck in your A levels xx

Thank you everyone for such lovely comments! I took Spotsrock up today to meet him and help me jump him. She has fallen a little bit in love with him bless her :) He was very excited and 1 or 2 times i had to circle him away from the jump as he'd come into it cantering sideways, but we got there in the end. I'd say we only jumped about 1m but the aim of today was to keep calm and nicely pop over it, so not really bothered about how high :) He certainly has a nice jump in him, and a powerful one too, he also takes off a bit earlier than i'm used to so did have a few moments of getting left behind, but i was very impressed with him considering he hasn't jumped since November! :)
Just a couple pictures from today:
