My grackle is abit old and the sheepskin seems to have disintegrated into almost nothing. Is it possible to have it replaced or should I just buy an new one?

Buy a good quality, small Powder Puff!
We had horses for many, many years who wore them for hunting and racing.
Otherwise, just find a decent piece of Sheepskin, cut out a "round" and glue into place.

where can I get a new piece? Would it involced chopping up a sheepskin noseband or similar? Or can I buy little round bit of sheepskin for the job?

You can buy pieces of sheepskin specifically for grackles
Castlemouse - where from??? I have been looking, but obviously am being blind as can't for the life of me find them. Almost cut up my lovely sheepskin noseband which is beautiful and probably would have cried doing it!
i bought an old sheepskin coat from charity shop for about 3 or four pounds, and made a girth sleeve, a poll guard, a nose guard (horse likes to lean on his face in lorry!!) a wither pad, and still got bits left over!
