I will post some pics later but struggling to get him to stay still long enough, he arrived Monday evening he is a star barely any accidents.

But my other dog is being very distant and uninterested, I haven't changed his routine and ensure he gets peace to eat ect but he is just ignoring the little pup who desperately wants to be his friend? Anything I can do or do they just need time.

Don't worry, resident dog will come round. Once when I already had two usually very social dogs and a new pup arrived, they both avoided her and in the evenings when we went through to watch TV, they would hide behind my chair even if the pup was asleep!
They really didn't take long to accept her. I did my best to treat the older two no differently because there was a pup about.

Thanks, he is usually so sociable so I find it odd. Taking him for a long walk with his best friend later so hopefully that will cheer him up.

Meet Beau a lovely little cocker from working lines I plan to do agility with him when he is old enough.

Gawjussss! We are hoping to get a blue roan cocker spaniel next year probably. Where did you get him from? Which area are you in? We are in West Midlands - do you know of any good breeders there?

He has a lovely face :D

I'm East Midlands, he came from a friend who bred him from her working bitch from a field champion dog. Mum is only 3 and has proven herself to be a fab working dog. This is her 2nd and last litter although they kept a pup so could breed from her in a couple of years.

So far he is active but sane just tiring him out but taking him to lots of new places.

We added a new pup in December after the loss of my dogs best friend...it took him 3 weeks to completely accept her and now he is smitten with her.
Your new pup is beautiful,I love the colour!

Thanks I think he is lovely but I'm biased. I've never said NO so much lol. But he is getting the idea, barely any crying last night. Introduced him to my brothers 2 younger dogs this morning and he wasn't sure he really wants to play but is a little wary I'm hoping he will become a confident chap. At the moment he adores people and wants to be all over you.

With being a Spaniel I'm amazed how soft his mouth is when he nibles it does mark or hurt really, I remember buz killing me.
