Just wondered if they have the little metal attachments near the neck and extra d-rings beside the fillet string to attach the duo liners to? I'm sure I read somewhere the new ranges did... but wanted to check with someone who had one first.

(doesn't mention it on their official website)

Think the Rhino Wug lite would be a good investment as I need a new lightweight rug, but if it had the liner attachments, could also use it with a 200g liner when I want to take off and wash my 100g liner (which gets the most use!) for my duo!

Also, would anyone say there's a gib enough difference between the Rhino and Rambo to merit the additional £70?! The thought of spending £90 on a LW is scary enough... but if I'm splashing out am I as well going for the Rambo? I had a Rhino MW for a wee while and it seemed fine, only sold it when I got my duo as didn't need a MW.

Yes they do both stable and turnout - but NOT the wug

Personally I can't see any difference between rambo and rhino so I never spend the extra money - only rambos I have have been bought in the sale

That's a shame. I quite fancy tha half neck. I suppose I could still use it with the liner as I can still clip the back clips on to the d-rings at tail strap and it would only be for a day or two at a time to clean the other liner.

Will go with the Rhino wug then. Thanks!

Well mine has had a bout of what appears to be mud fever/rain scald on the underside of her neck, right up where her jaw meets her neck.

Turns out me being "nice" by buying and putting on the neck cover wasn't such a great idea in the rain.

Think the problem is I've had to buy a lrager size neck cover to allow enough width for her cobby neck, so it's sitting higher up her neck than intended and her neck got damp and stayed damp. Feel awful, but she appears to be on the mend now at least.

Thought the half neck would solve that "problem" for days when I thought she needed a little more coverage, but will now not use neck cover if it looks like it will be wet- lesson learned.

That's odd. The MW Rhino I had for mine was pretty deep. Certainly deeper than her other rugs. Think I'll try the Rhino, can always return if it doesn't fit. Although the Rambo is a prettier colour, I just can't justify £70 for the colour preference!

However if it meant it fitted better...!

*slinks in blushing* I did actually buy a Rambo because my horse wouldn't be seen dead in chestnut tartan! *slinks out shaking head at the shallowness of it all*

I bought the HW Rambo wug as it has luminous stripes on it so it makes a significant difference when I am looking for a bay pony in a large field in the pitch black - I just shine the torch and I can see the strips and find him!

I don't think the rambo is that deep either though - it does have an extra sursingle and the curved leg arches at the back and front whereas rhino only has the leg arches at the front.

I have the LW rhino wug as well.

I have understood that there have been some issues with Rhinos and Amigo shrinking when washed by rug cleaners that has not been the case with rambos. My rambo also has a three years waterproof guarantee which the rhino does not.
